Metal Detecting


	Another of my Hobbies is metal detecting. I have 4 metal detectors. The first, the one I like the best is the White's XLT. Properties of the XLT: Coins: Rejects most common junk like nails, foil, and pulltabs, and picks up most coins, and large jewelry. Coins & Jewelry: Picks up most coins and jewelry, while rejecting junk. Jewelry/Beach: Designed for the beach - picking up coins and jewelry and ignoring some junk items. Relic Hunting: Responds to all types of metals, but discriminates between types and sizes of metal with variations in audio tones. Prospecting: Responds to all types of metals, but shows a VDI number only for possible gold nuggets. Plus 4 custom programs to store or you can develop your own programs. This Metal Detector is in the $1000 range.
